Oct 1998 to Oct 2005 My responsibilities include strategic IT planning and project management for the various technology initiatives undertaken at the subsidiary organizations.  This also involved the development and implementation of VPN networks, Intranet and web strategies, deployment of thin client technologies and Java based applications. Vice President, MIS and Planning UCI DistributionPLUS/United Couriers, Inc. Burbank, CA Aug 1991 to Oct 1998 For UCI, I directed, managed and motivated a professional staff of six MIS personnel and fifteen routing and planning analysts.  My MIS responsibilities included overseeing all aspects of the enterprise computing environment and information systems. I also successfully managed the development of a proprietary, state of the art, graphics based computer workstation to automate the routing and scheduling function. My planning responsibilities included overseeing the design and implementation of the logistical strategies for 43 dispatch depots located in 12 states. UCI DistributionPLUS/United Couriers, Inc. Director of Planning Burbank, CA Jun 1989 to Aug 1991 I recruited, organized and directed the formation of a new department located in three states to interface with sales and operations groups to produce the bids for customers RFP’s.  Additionally, the department was responsible for the design and implementation of the dispatch strategy for 43 depots in 12 states. Regional Operations Manager San Diego, Oakland & Burbank, CA Oct 1984 to Jun 1989 My responsibilities involved the recruiting, managing and motivating of the branch managers for the company’s largest of four operating regions. The largest branch operation had annual sales of 7mm and 150+ employees.
